Meet Book for Monday 06122023
Hello Otter Families,
Attached is the meet book for Monday's dual meet with the Promontory Pointe Piranhas.
A note from the Otter Board: Thank you for everyone's cooperation on Thursday and Friday in keeping kids in the pool area and supervised! Things seemed to go very well and we appreciate everyone taking the ONA's concerns seriously.
A note regarding volunteering at meets: Thank you to those of you who showed up to help out on Friday and at all the away meets! We need EVERYONE to show up and participate for their volunteer roles (check the meet book for your assignment) as we round out the season. We had 15 parents not show up and not communicate with us about it for Friday's virtual make-up meet. This is not a good way to run a meet. This meant that a board member and their spouse had to fill in as well as an entire family who didn't even have kids swimming in the meet filling in (shout out to the Vaughns and the Kilpatricks). It takes MANY hands to make sure things run smoothly. If you have extenuating circumstances, you may text Roberto Baltazar (210-347-1681) to discuss. Volunteering at the meets is REQUIRED. If you cannot volunteer, then you need to talk to us about that and we can help you figure out a role that will work to contribute to the team (ex: when I had young kids, I did ribbons because I often took them home to complete; if you work, then take down might be a good fit for you, etc). Board members VOLUNTEER their time throughout the year and swim season to help all the Otters have a good season and we need you, the parents of the swimmers, to volunteer your time so our team can participate in meets.
Let's go Otters!
